The Natural Way To Relieve Haemorrhoids
Haemorrhoids are overblown veins surrounding the anus and rectum, which tend to protrude from ones anus. These are much like the varicose veins; haemorrhoids enlarge and slowly lose their flexibility, resulting in pouch shaped protrusions in the anal canal. While this state is commonly referred to by the word ‘piles,’ it can often cause pain, discomfort, and lots of embarrassment to the one suffering from it , haemorrhoids in a minors case is a minor medical issue.
The easiest way to treat piles is by increasing the intake of dietary fibre. These, you must be aware, are obtained from raw vegetables and fruits. Fibre expands the time taken by the stool to transit through colon and thus reduces the pressure within colon.
Increasing your intake of fruits is of much importance to get relief from piles. If you do not like fruits, take them as medicines and have them. Lack of exercise, very heavy lifting, obesity, too much of sitting or pregnancy are the leading causes of haemorrhoids.
Here are the fruits and juices you should consume if you suffer from piles
Juices – These are excellent for piles but choose from berry juices, which are mixed with an equal proportion of apple juice. The berries you can use to make the juice are cherries, blueberries and blackberries. Berries are rich in “proanthocyanidins” and “anthocyanins,” which reduce the haemorrhoid pain and also the swelling by strengthening and toning the haemorrhoid veins. At least one glass of this juice mixture should be taken each day.
Cantaloupe
It has a good content of vitamins and minerals that strengthen the immune system. These also have high beta-carotene levels and anti-clogging properties.
Black and Red Currant Berries
Currants are rich in vitamin C, and other minerals, thus makes its juice valuable for clearing piles. They also have a little content of fatty acid GLA, which produces an anti-inflammatory hormone prostaglandin that controls body pain. Its juice is also great for cleansing the blood and liver. Good functioning liver is important for maintaining a healthy colon and anus. Each day drink 1 –2 glasses of black or red currant berries.
Pomegranate Juice
Pomegranate juice, its astringency, will be useful for reduction of swelling and it also has been used to treat haemorrhoids, the blood vessels seen in the rectum, which become distended, causing immense pain. Dip a cotton ball in pomegranate juice and slightly push it in your rectum.
Few suggest that drinking pomegranate juice would also heal haemorrhoids that are common during pregnancy.
Oranges and bananas
Eat 3 oranges and 3 bananas a day. The former gives vitamin C, fibre and bioflavonoid. A study by a French researcher says that bioflavonoid fight flare-ups of piles. Bananas give minerals that aid in strengthening tissue and they also have lots of fibre.
